The Morally Confused

I left the TV news on to long yesterday morning, because I heard Donald Rumsfield accuse me, and others like me, of being morally confused if we did not back the administrations war plans.

I must say, I was taken back, to hear Mr. Rumsfield use the word "moral" in any of it's configurations.

It did cause me to do a brief inventory of my moral confusion:

    1. I love my country, but I am not confused about leaders that create state sponsored terrorist acts, to fool it's citizens into war. I am not confused about leaders that force legislation that turns the most free country in the world into one of fascism.

    2. I love my country, but I am not confused about moral-less leaders that take the finest of our young men and women. and turn them into murders and assassins that will accept orders to kill children. Then train them to be an invading army that's hated and feared.

    3. I am not confused about leaders that condone torture with a "wink" and a "nod". The raping of women in front of their husbands, of young boys in front of their mothers.

    4. And finally, I am not confused about leaders that line their pockets with the spoils of war.

Mr. Rumsfield is right! There are those that are morally confused. In fact there is an epidemic of moral confusion.

If you don't believe it, pull into a church parking lot on Sunday and count how many "W" stickers you see on automobiles.
