or Sure!?!.... Satan Came Equipped With Musical Instruments When He Tempted Eve In The Garden Mr. Sublett it's time we had an understanding! Before I start, I realize you are a well read and a Godly man, and I respect you for that. Here is my problem; I'm sure you remember a few months ago when I Emailed and ask you about your statements concerning Satan being equipped with musical instruments when he tempted Eve in the GARDEN. This statement is something you have posted often; "Lucifer as the king/queen of Tyre is said to 'have come equipped with musical instruments'." In my Email I admitted that I had been studying the bible more in the last 6 months than I had in 54 years. For some reason I was having trouble finding the reference to Satan and the musical instruments. I read Genesis, and could not find any reference to Satan having musical instruments when he was in the Garden to tempt Eve. You wrote me back and said something to the effect that it was in the bible, I would just have to find it. Then you continued on for another few paragraphs about something important I'm sure, but I did not understand how it was related. I really did not have a problem with you not answering my question. I thought, well I'll find it one of these days. Tonight I am sitting here reading what all these Christian brothers and sisters are saying to you in the forum. They don't believe you! Worse, they are so disrespectful. Look at what that sweet creature "Grace" posted in the forum;
M..... R..... You sound like a frazzled, somewhat senile person. I'm not sure where you get all of your quotes from, but your writing is far from professional. I'll just start making up names and fake stories to go along with them and pass them off as truth. T..... H..... Mr. Sublett is the master of wild accusations, but I have yet to see anything productive or Christ-like in any of his ramblings. H.m.m. Could his spiritual "father" have lived in Germany in the 1940s? T..... M..... Kenneth, I don't care if you are 71 or 17 you are lost in a fantasy world of your own making. Well Kenneth, what's one to do? Acts 17:11 tells us to test it against the word, to see if it's of the Lord. I guess that means we need to test what our fellow Christian brothers and sisters tell us, no matter how much we love and trust them. It doesn't matter if they are telling us that "Praise Teams" and "instruments" are OK in worship service, or they tell us Satan had musical instruments with him when he tempted Eve in the Garden. So brother, get ready to be tested! Last night about 7:30 I decided to test what you had said about Satan coming to the Garden, equipped with musical instruments, to tempt Eve. I went to the Google search engine and put in the words "Satan", "musical Instruments", etc. I got a good hit right off the bat! One of the first sites to come up had this quote;
* The Bible calls him an anointed cherub. (Ezekiel 28:14) * He led praise, and had musical instruments on the inside of him. (Ezekiel 28:13) * Like lightning he was seen falling from heaven. (Luke 10:18) Wow, Satan had instruments on the inside of him!! No wonder he brought the instruments with him. I immediately went to the link of the bible verse to verify this, but the bible verse said nothing about instruments! I thought I must not be in the right verse or in the right Bible, but how could any Bible leave something this important out? I checked the NIV, NASB, AMP, RSV, TEV, DRV, NCV, GWT, BBE, and the NLT, nothing about instruments, absolutely nothing. Even though it's now 8:30 and I promised my wife I would be home early, I had to continue this search. I went back to Google, and did another search. This time I came up with; "Erik the Flutemaker" at eriktheflutemaker.com. So, this is what Erik had to say;
The workmanship of thy tabrets (Tambourines) and pipes was prepared in thee in the day which thou wast created. (Ez.28; 13-19)"
Kenneth, I admit that last night I was a little perturbed at you for not answering my question regarding Satan's musical instruments some 2 months ago . It would have kept me from spending time at "Erik the Flutemaker". However, I did learn some important information, which is invaluable to me.
What I learned:
2. You actually had no obligation to prove to me you were correct. 3. The obligation was mine to test what you had told me. (Acts 17:11) 4. I have no right to think you are a crazed old man, just because I am so stupid. 5. I can't test anything, if I am not using a Bible that has the inspired words of God. Thanks for trying to teach us. I am so sorry we are such poor students. David Rhoades
