I told my 13 year old daughter Precious, that I had been in a Bible study the week before and I had taken some notes that I felt like I needed to read in my Sunday school class on Sunday.
I asked her if I could read them to her.
Notes: Last week I was studying the Bible with a man that knew his Bible. He believed musical instruments, clapping, pew thumbing, and just about anything else was OK in worship service. He gave as his biblical proof, the very verse we are studying today. 1 Tim. 4:4 "For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;" He believed that since clapping, and musical instruments were given to us by God, that they were OK to use in worship. Well, I looked at this verse in my bible, and my bible said; "For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:" Well it's quite plain that the context of the verse was talking about the meat of animals, and God was talking about creatures of God and their meat was OK to eat. Our study came to an abrupt standstill. We could no longer agree on the word of God. I knew what the problem was, I had been intently studying it for close to 4 years. His Bible contains no less than 6,000 differences from my King James Bible. But now it's to late, my warnings to him go unheard. This man was raised with this Bible. The Bible he was quoting from is now over 20 years old. When he was young his parents were studying from one Bible at church, while he was being taught from a different Bible in Sunday School. No one ever told him, or warned him about the the corruption of modern Bibles. Today his Bible is the recommended Bible of the "Church Growth Movement", the movement that is bringing apostasy into our churches. As a body of Christ, I believe we have bred and are breeding our own destruction, because this issue has not been addressed. Once I found out about this problem, I knew I would be judged at Judgment Day for not warning everyone I knew. Today I am warning my brothers and sisters in Christ.
End Notes: I asked Precious what she thought? She asked, "Do many people read notes in front of their Sunday School Class?" I said, "No, not many" She said, "Some people might be upset". I said, "What about Jesus?" She said, "Wonder if you're wrong dad?, Wonder if you're wrong."
