We first heard of Mr Coats while researching material for ConcernedMembers.com.

It was our failure and loss over the years not to have been aware of Mr. Coats and his writings.

Mr Coats has earned his share of critics inside the Church of Christ, and it's probably because of his stand.

H.A.(Buster)Dobbs puts it best;
"Coats comes to us in the style and manner of Elijah of the Old Testament who heaped sarcastic ridicule on the priests of Baal at Mount Carmel, and of Elijah of the New Testament who made no truce with a generation of vipers. It is the tradition of prophets to be strong, and use language that is appropriate to the situation."
